<h1>Uber Crew Town Hall Recap</h1>Uber Crew is a program inspired by Uber’s commitment to change the way they listen to drivers and couriers. As the people who drive and deliver, you know your work better than Uber ever could. That’s why your feedback is so important to the program.As part of the Uber Crew Program, Street Level Strategy hosts a virtual Town Hall with Crew Members twice a year to bring you Crew program updates and a chance for you to hear from Crew Members directly on the impact they are making with the program.The last Crew Town Hall was held on March 5th, 2024. Please find a summary of the event below.<h2>Crew Member Accomplishments</h2>Thanks to your feedback and the advocacy of Crew Members, here are some recent resolutions and improvements.<h3>Rides</h3><ul><li>Enhanced safety features such as audio &amp; video recording within the app</li><li>Implementation of rider identification verification</li><li>Trip radar* improvements with maps for better trip detail visibility</li><li>Improvements to the offer card, making it easier to accept suitable trips</li><li>Apple CarPlay improvements &amp; Android Auto integration and expansion for safer and more convenient app usage</li><li>New ratings processes to protect earners from false allegations</li><li>Expanded in-app review center to help with account review decisions</li></ul>*Please note this feature is currently in testing and not available everywhere in the US<h3>Eats</h3><ul><li>A new tool to indicate free parking during drop-offs</li><li>Clearer drop-off instructions that provide specifics for apartment complexes including detailed map labels and possible photos of residences</li><li>Eater chat restrictions while delivering to encourage safe driving</li></ul><h2>You Asked, We Answered</h2>Here are some of the most commonly asked questions we received during the Town Hall.How do we find our local Crew Members? How do you become a Crew Member? How do I get in touch with Crew Members? How do we get involved with our local Uber Crew?Current Crew Members can be found <a href="https://www.ubercrewportal.com/crewmembers" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">here</a> and via the “Crew Members” tab at the top of this page. Office Hours are the easiest way to get involved with Uber Crew and are happening now through April 10. You can sign up for Office Hours <a href="https://www.ubercrewportal.com/officehours" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">here</a>.&nbsp;The 2025 Uber Crew application cycle will begin in October. If applicable to apply, you will receive an email and message within your Uber app. You can find more eligibility details on how to become a Crew Member <a href="https://www.uber.com/us/en/u/feedback-program/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">here</a>.How are you guys making driver pick up and drop off better for those that reside on military installations?Uber has a partnership with many military installations across the US whereby drivers or couriers can obtain access to the base in order to complete rides or deliveries on-base. The process involves visiting the base in-person to complete a military background check and application.Those approved will receive a DBIDS Commercial Access Card which they can upload to the Uber app in order to receive military trips or deliveries.&nbsp;Please note that the eligibility criteria may be slightly different at each installation, and that even if you have an active military ID, you’ll need a DBIDS card to access the base for Uber purposes.How do trips across state lines work? For example, I live in MA and receive trip requests to drop off in NH &amp; ME.&nbsp;TNC regulatory requirements typically apply based on the pick-up location. In order to receive trip requests to pick up in a particular state, a driver must meet all local eligibility and document requirements.&nbsp;In this specific example, the accepted vehicle inspection in New Hampshire is a state provided sticker/decal, where Massachusetts requires either a State or TNC Inspection. Due to the different vehicle inspection requirements, a MA driver would not be able to receive trip requests in NH but may still receive a trip request in MA that ends in NH.You can learn more about Uber cities and the requirements <a href="https://www.uber.com/global/en/cities/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">here</a>.Will any of the Q&amp;A questions be addressed?Uber Crew Town Halls are bi-annual and the next is slated for the end of the year.
