<h1>Uber Crew Town Hall</h1>
Uber Crew is a program that gives you the chance to choose a driver or courier to collaborate with Uber and improve the transparency into how Uber uses your feedback.&nbsp;
With Crew, you can help select other drivers and couriers near you to raise issues to Uber’s decision-makers and collaborate with Uber on features and improvements. By participating in Uber Crew, you can give drivers and couriers everywhere a better way to make their voices heard.
As part of the Uber Crew Program, Street Level Strategy hosts a virtual Town hall with Crew Members twice a year to bring you Crew program updates and a chance for you to hear from Crew Members directly on the impact they are making with the program.

 <li>Product Sessions: Meet with Uber product experts to get hands-on experience testing and updating existing features and playing a role in designing new ones</li>

1. When can Earners report road blockages on the app, like what you could do on Google Maps?&nbsp;
<ul>
 <li>Uber is actively working on expanding the in-app reporting feature to report issues such as turn not allowed, traffic, accident, construction, road hazard, and lane and road closures.</li>
 <li>Right now, however, you can use this reporting feature to report the following issues: turn not allowed and road closures.</li>
 <li>In the meantime, report any mapping updates you’d like to see on the app by submitting feedback to the Crew.&nbsp;</li>

2. Who designs, updates and monitors the Driver GPS app for corrections and suggestions? How do Earners submit corrections and suggestions?
<ul>
 <li>Reported tickets are manually reviewed by dedicated mapping teams. Mapping issues can be submitted directly via in-app help or by attending Crew FixIt Office Hours.</li>

3. What impact and or changes has Uber made to better the safety conditions for drivers?
<ul>
 <li>Uber’s Safety Toolkit has several safety features for drivers. We recently added a new feature in the Safety Toolkit so that you can now record audio of your trips within the Uber app. Riders and drivers can record audio through their app to help encourage safe, comfortable interactions on trips.&nbsp;</li>
 <li>We will also be announcing a few other new safety features at the upcoming Only on Uber event happening in November.</li>

4. What are some of the improvements Uber is doing for Electric Vehicles on the app.
<ul>
 <li>Uber is building smart charging features into the Uber Driver app. Uber’s technology will assess real-time signals such as charging prices, charging time, and traffic to recommend when and where drivers should charge, so they can maximize their earnings while on the road and when planning ahead.&nbsp;</li>
 <li>Uber is also developing Battery-Aware Matching, which filters trip requests based on a driver’s battery level, so they can take trips that end near a charger and avoid trips that are too long for their battery. Charging should be seamless, not stressful.</li>

5. How do you sign up for Car Seats?

 <li>The Car Seat program is only available in select markets. Uber is accepting new drivers in NYC and LA. Uber will reach out directly to drivers who qualify to notify you if you are eligible to sign up.&nbsp;</li>

1. What are your best tips and tricks for earning more money on the app and receiving good ratings from passengers?
<ul>
 <li>Tanika Thomas: I'm definitely not the kind of driver that is just in the app clicking and accepting anything, instead, I seek out worthwhile trips. My tip for increasing earnings is to be more professional, work expeditiously, get orders off, and provide good customer service.</li>
 <li>Denise Smith: It should be about our riders and how we can serve them. When your heart is postured in that way, they love it. I always have classical or spa music playing, creating a relaxing atmosphere. So honestly, my advice is to approach a ride by being genuine about who you are and not trying so hard trying to seek a tip.</li>

2. Why do you drive/deliver with Uber over other apps?
<ul>
 <li>Nadia Nunez: I enjoy seeing and interacting with people every day. Yes we are just giving them a ride, but we are also a part of that ride as well. Sometimes we have to play nurse, psychologist, or friend, but I love the way we contribute to their lives. The more I help, the happier it makes me. This is why I drive.</li>
 <li>Chantal Carrere: I like Uber because it consistently keeps me busy. With competitors, I remember just waiting for a ride versus the consistent request from Uber. Earnings and tips are also better on Uber. I’ve never had an incident that was scary from an Uber passenger either. I think they brand themselves better and I love the fact that I’m self-employed.</li>

3. What makes a Crew Member influential?
<ul>
 <li>Dave Dickey: During Office Hours, connecting with a diverse group of drivers from various backgrounds and regions is fascinating since I primarily drive in a small community. It's important to acknowledge that I may not have all the answers. Still, Street Level Strategy diligently takes notes and together we find solutions to address drivers' concerns, fostering open communication and trust.</li>
 <li>Cedric Jordan: Uber Crew is bridging communication between riders and Uber. As demonstrated by our success with the NFL Office Hours sessions last summer, this approach will also be applied to the NBA and NHL Office Hours in October, where we will address issues like ride cancellations and low ratings. These collaborative efforts are driving positive changes in our services.</li>
</ul>
4. What motivated you to become a Crew Member?
<ul>
 <li>Denise Smith: I was genuinely interested in this role because I wanted to be there for those who often feel unheard or underrepresented. As a Hispanic woman and a mother, I saw an opportunity to give back to these communities and be a voice for their concerns. It's crucial for everyone tuning in to realize that your voice matters, no matter how small the issue may seem. Thanks for having me on board.</li>
 <li>Sarah List: Honestly, when I first saw Uber Crew, I wasn’t really sure what I was getting myself into. I asked myself how I can help the drivers around here to improve things, not only in the app but how we can handle events like Hurricane Ian, which continues to be a big deal around Southwest Florida. I’ve enjoyed interacting and listening to what other drivers want to see improved.</li>
 <li>Tanika Thomas: As a driver you see problems with the app functioning or with pay, and you want to be a part of something that can make positive changes with Uber. I plan on continuing being a Crew Member as it is a place for me to hear insights from others and be that voice for Uber drivers.</li>
 <li>Dave Dickey: What I do full-time for a living adds a lot of stress in my life, which is why I took up Ubering. I enjoy doing it.&nbsp;My very first weekend driving was graduation night at the University of Iowa and I quickly realized how important Uber was to my community. They told me how much they appreciated Uber’s safety. I realized how important Uber was, which led me to consider what I can do to showcase its importance to me.</li>
